Write 31 Days – Day 6: Wine for the Drunk

“Jesus made wine for people who were already drunk.”

~Kris Vallotton~

If you really think about this, it may wreck your idea of how Jesus interacts with people – primarily ones that many of today’s American believers would label as “sinners”.

It’s in John 2 that we find the familiar story of Jesus turning water into wine. He does this late in the party because they had already run out of wine… which means they’d been partying quite a while.

Jesus’ response to the wine being gone can be a baffler to those opposed to hanging out with drunks, because if He was truly against them and their behavior, He wouldn’t be enabling it.

There’s a huge cans of worms that could be opened but I’m actually just going to leave this all right there for you to ponder, muse and come to your own conclusions!  🙂
