Day 16: Offering Up the Right to a Clean House

There was a brief season in my life with kids that the house was kept relatively clean and without clutter most of the time. My three (at that time) kids were in school, I worked for a brief season just very part-time but was home most of the time so I kept things tidy and clean. I enjoyed throwing myself into my home during that season. I enjoyed not tripping over toys, not finding dishes all over the house, having crumb-free carpets, having time to dust and clean bathrooms.

But seasons change and when you add another little to the fam, so does the home landscape. Your time is allocated to different things. You often choose to wade through the obstacle course of toys for the sake of a child’s happiness. So this offering up is one of a clean and clutterfree home and I would rather have a happy home than a clean one… most days. 😉
