Offering Up: Day 2

One of my very first offering ups ever is the day I gave my heart and my life to Jesus. This most important and most rewarding offering up happened when I was 7 years old. I was attending a VBS (vacation bible school) at the E-free Church in Kearney, NE. I don’t remember a whole lot about the time except for the teacher asked who wanted to invite Jesus to live in their heart? I raised my hand. I repeated a prayer. Without this simple action being connected to a sincere heart decision – this act would be meaningless. But I meant what I said with all of my young heart. And to solidify my offering up, my mom bought me a devotional. I remember writing down a prayer request that first day. I asked Jesus to help my daddy come to know Him. The very next day, my daddy met Jesus! The offering up of my little life was met with an incredible and immediate reward – an answered prayer about one of the most important people in my life! Sometimes we see reward immediately. Sometimes we will not know it until we step into the other side of eternity. But I’m so grateful for the Lord demonstrating to me His faithfulness, so immediately, so early on in my walk with Him!
