He Opened the Door

This is the final day of “31 Days of Whimsical Encounters” – part of the #write31days challenge. To read all the posts in order, please visit the overview page.  It has been an amazing month and I’m grateful to The Nester for her challenge! After today I will resume blogging about random and whimsical life – family stories, revelation from the Word, possibly more encounters. Thanks for reading this month, please come by again!

I closed my eyes and asked the Lord if He wanted to take me somewhere. Instead of a vision of the next place, I heard His voice, “Where do you want to go?” A bit taken off-guard, I finally said, “Somewhere mystical. And amazing.” He asked me if I wanted to go to the Temple. Of course, my answer would be yes.

We started walking towards the MASSIVE steps. Gold steps. Leading to a enormous structure. The front ‘lawn’ was like a park, a beautiful, heavenly park. As we walked down the lane towards the steps, there were certain places we would step that would set off water fountains that were surrounding the temple. They were all different shooting designs, different heights. It was creative. It was amazing and extravagant. As we got closer to the steps, I saw that there were lion statues on either side of the staircase. Only they were not made of stone, they were made of solid gold. The atmosphere was not light-hearted but not somber either. It was… mystical. We climbed the gold steps, He opened the door…
