I was going down a road with the Lord. It was a paved road but amidst rustic scenery. We were traveling in some sort of  vehicle – it was like a golf cart – built for paved, smooth roads. Finally we hit a dead end. The paved road stopped and the terrain ahead was rugged, muddy and wild. I figured this was the end of the journey – it was the end of the road. I even had the feeling that I had chosen the wrong direction to travel. But I was wrong. “Hitting a dead end does not always mean the journey is over or that you’ve went the wrong way,” Jesus said. “Often it is the right direction and it means getting into a different vehicle and taking on the adventure.” We jumped into a 4-wheeler – a big one equipped with huge ‘mudding’ tires. The dead end was not the end of the journey, but an invitation to go exploring in new places.
