Skiing in the Clouds

This is Day 18 of “31 Days of Whimsical Encounters” – part of the #write31days challenge. To read all the posts in order, please visit the overview page.

I had water skis on and was standing in the clouds, holding a rope. ‘Water’ skiing on the clouds! I looked ahead of me to see what kind of ‘boat’ or other vehicle would be pulling me through the clouds. It was a horse! A big, white horse! He started to gallop across the clouds, pulling me behind him. Jesus was standing off to the side, watching me ski. I flew across the clouds, just like a water skier across the water and waves. I was about to jump a ‘ramp’. It wasn’t until I jumped it that I realized it was an airplane! I jumped several planes after that.

We were going so fast, having so much fun. Jesus and I were both laughing hysterically. Then things seemed to go into slow motion. Like a climax in a movie, anticipation building for what was going to happen next. It’s like the horse and Jesus had a conversation about whether I was ready to handle the next jump. I looked ahead, it wasn’t another airplane but a set of mountain peaks. It was the jump of a lifetime. The horse sped up, I braced myself for what was ahead. In slow motion, I ramped up the mountains and flew, airborne, for what seemed like forever. As I finally landed, I faltered and thought I was going to fall. But, no, I regained my balance. I did it. The epic jump… I conquered it!
